Described as an "obligatory psychotic jackass” Nicholai is conceived of as a badass vampire, a bully nonetheless and a nemesis to the Old Source. In his early life he lived as an abused son of a wealthy family in the seventeenth century. While wandering the streets he bumped into a beautiful woman. In a drunken haste he goes with her to a place she claims to be hers where she then bit him and transformed into a vampire. In doing so it is noted that he went insane when he first turned into a vampire. However, now as an over 500 year old vampire he is witty, sarcastic and hungry for blood. His particular favorite appetite is blonde girls. Yum.
Violeta Dorset was born sometime in the 16th century. There isn't really thing that dates back to that time to know when she was truly born. She would never give it up. She was a part of a wealthy family and could have been figured to be one of the good girls back in the day. She was almost perfect. Her life changed forever one night while sleeping in her house. There was a break in and her entire family was left for dead, except for her. She was captured and taken back by the captor. After days of torture, she finally accepted the death that was about to come before her. That wasn't the plan though from her captor. He revealed himself to be a vampire and changed her life forever. Her sire was later to be revealed as Nicholai Haythe. Violeta was possibly one of the first people he turned into a vampire. Nicholai had chosen her because of his taste for blondes and wanted a running buddy. They ran through all of Europe and Asia until the mid 19th century. Things have changed between the two of them. Nicholai had really fallen for the girl. It was one of the only people he really loved and cared about. Violeta, on the other hand, didn't really feel the same way. She was only interested in the kills and getting more of them. Sure, she loved having 'fun' with Nicholai, but she knew that he would be someone she could never love. She believed that Nicholai had gone soft during the later days of them running together, because of the affection he had for her and she didn't want to see that from him. She wanted to see the man that had turned her. She wanted the monster to come out of him again. And she knew there was only one way that could happen. She would have to disappear. Violeta disappeared from Nicholai without word and hasn't seen him since her departure. She received word that Nicholai went crazy after she left and really wasn't the same. He sat around and did nothing for almost a year. In the years to come, she heard that he was back to normal and all about the kill again. She realized what she had done was for the better. She has laid low for the past 150 years somewhere in Europe. In the last few years, she moved over to the United States for the first time. It was going to be new territory for her. As one of the oldest living vampires, things were going to get crazy with her around. She guaranteed it.
Recently, Violeta has surfaced to San Francisco, where she found none other then Nicholai. Nicholai is plotting to take over the Underworld, but he has no idea what Violeta is up to being in town. Did she have a particular reason or was it just twisted fate they would bump into another in the same place in the world?
